Our Portsoy holiday cottage sleeps 4 to 6 and is in a spectacular position overlooking the sea and the 17th century historic Portsoy harbour. Creel Cottage was built when the harbour was built so dates back to the 17th century. With the decline of the fishing industry in Portsoy, Creel Cottage fell into disrepair and was completely refurbished in the 1960s. Today Creel Cottage is a very comfortable cottage.
Our cottage is spacious with one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, a kitchen, bathroom and two lounges one of which can serve as an additional double bedroom when required.
On entering through the front door there is a short flight of stairs down to the large ground floor lounge. The lounge has oak flooring on which sits a large Persian carpet. There is a window overlooking the sea and harbour and windows to the side looking over the shared courtyard. There are two large comfortable sofas one of which is in traditional tartan and the television is in this room. Leaving this lounge there is a door outside to the shared courtyard. Returning up the stairs there is a further short flight of stairs up to the rest of the accommodation. The upstairs lounge has spectacular views on three sides over the sea and harbour. A beautiful blue Persian carpet sits on top of the stripped floor boards. The leather Chesterfield sofa can pull out to a sofa bed when required. There is also an antique barley twist table which can be pulled out for dining when required. The kitchen is of a reasonable size and fully equipped. The bathroom has a bath with shower over. The double bedroom boasts a Louis style French kingsize bed. There is a built in wardrobe. The twin bedroom has two antique French single beds and a small Arts and Crafts chest of drawers. Hanging space is provided on the back of the door.
The cottage is heated by gas central heating and all heating and electricity costs are included in our tariff
To the side of the cottage is a shared courtyard. Parking is available directly outside the cottage on the public road. Parking is free.

Creel Cottage Portsoy is a self catering holiday cottage available for weekly lets throughout the year. In the low season short breaks are available by arrangement.
